December

On December 11 our little boy Kellen turned 2 years old. The day before his birthday we took him to Jump Zone, unfortunately he was very clingy and not that excited, so we were kind of bummed. We stayed until nap time and when Kellen awoke from his nap with a fever, we then knew why he was acting strangely at Jump Zone. He ended up having croup that whole next week. Poor little guy.

On his birthday. We had brownie sundaes for dessert.

One evening I noticed that Spiderman, all on his own, had let go of the tree and was hanging onto this star ornament.

Making gingerbread and sugar cookies. We made gingerbread cookies as part of a lapbook Lorelei and I were doing for preschool.

Kellen didn't even try to decorate the cookies but went straight to eating the decorations.

Cincinnati Museum

The kids got new slippers, CLEARANCED. I love clearanced stuff, it's almost an addiction.

We marinated our baby in olive oil for 10 minutes to get rid of her cradle cap, and it totally worked. We rubbed it on her head, let it sit, gave her a bath, and then I just combed her hair like normal with her baby comb (I didn't push hard, I just used the normal amount of brushing pressure), and all the cradle cap came loose and I had to rinse her comb so many times it was disgusting. But when we were done her head looked great. We haven't had any more cradle cap, and she wasn't bothered by any of it, she just played and ignored the oil on her head and all the brushing.

We drove to Texas to spend Christmas at my sister's house. Kellen and Catarina napping, you can see Catarina in her monkey mirror. I wish the whole trip was like this, but we had one day (2 days drive there and then 2 days back) were Kellen was screaming and crying 80% of the time, I am surprised Adam and I didn't completely lose it.
